Terms of Service

While nothing will be done by our technicians to purposely cause loss of data or files from your device, failure of components can happen without warning. Virus infections can cause un-predictable problems. If you have important information on your computer such as family pictures or financial records, and wish to minimize your risk of data loss, please inquire about our back-up services which can be performed before intensive diagnostic tests or virus scans are performed.

Operating System Reload Service

If the Operating System Reload Service is required, you will be contacted, and may opt to have us backup your information before we perform the service for an additional charge. An Operating System Reload requires that the computer hard drive be formatted and erased before reinstalling the Operating System. We cannot restore computer programs from backup and they must be re-installed from their original sources by the customer, and may require specific serial numbers.

Most repairs take 1-3 business days to complete. If you would like to see your computer repaired as fast as possible please call and ask about the possibility and costs of a memory upgrade to speed up the repair process. Any computers left on the premises for over 30 days without prior arrangements, will be disposed of at our discretion. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that we have the correct contact information on file which also appears printed on this hard copy.

Terms and Conditions

All new products have one year return to base warranty only. 3 months limited, return to based warranty for used or refurbished products. Products that are new and found to be faulty maybe refunded, exchanged or replaced at the manufactured discretion. (This does not cover damage caused by misused improper handling or incorrect installation). Return of any unopened shelf or stock items within 7 days will attract a twenty-five percent surcharge for restocking. By accepting the "Coolum Computers Invoice" you agree to the above terms and conditions as set forth herein.

Additional Terms

Additional terms may apply if other damages are found by our technicians. We will contact you prior to commencing any other work deemed to be necessary that was not covered in the original estimate and costing.

If further issues are found with the phone / tablet, (eg, broken cables, buttons, battery ect) there may be additional charges.
